Teikoku Hormone Mfg. Co., Ltd.

1920

Founder Yasohachi Yamaguchi established "Teikoku Hormone Research Institute" in Minami-Yoshida-machi, Yokohama.

1929

Reorganized as a corporation, " Teikoku Hormone Mfg. Research Laboratory Co., Ltd."

1932

"Ovahormon" launched.

1934

"Enarmon" launched.

1936

Constructed Takatsu Factory (currently Kawasaki Administration Office) in Tachibana-gun, Kanagawa (currently Kawasaki city).

1945

Company name changed to "Teikoku Hormone Mfg. Co., Ltd."

1946

Head office moved to Shiba-minami-sakuma-cho, Minato-ku (currently Nishi-shinbashi, Minato-ku), Tokyo.

1953

"Parotin" launched.

1955

Shares listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

1957

Veterinary medicine production and sales started.

1962

Head office moved to Akasaka, Minato-ku,Tokyo.

1971

Contract clinical testing business started.
Rapid latex aggulation kit for determination of urinary estrogen "E3 kit" launched.

1975

Medical device sales started.

1980

Iwaki Factory constructed in Iwaki, Fukushima.

Supply of Roxatidine Acetate Hydrochloride to Hoechst (currently sanofi-Aventis) of Germany started.

Takashi Yamaguchi appointed as President.

International Representative Office established in Frankfurt, Germany.

80th anniversary of company foundation.

Head Office building constructed in Shibaura, Minato-ku; office moved.

Grelan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

1930

Founder Yasutaro Yanagisawa established "Yanagisawa Pharmaceutical Company" in Osaka, started production of "Grelan".

1949

Head office and factory moved to Nosawa, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo.

1950

Reorganized as a corporation, "Grelan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd."

1956

Research and Development Division established.

1958

Shin-machi Factory constructed in Shin-machi, Setagaya-ku.

1962

"Robaxin" launched.

1963

Shin-machi Factory No. 2 constructed.

1969

Nishi-Tokyo Factory constructed in Hamura, Tokyo, Shin-machi Factory moved.

1991

"Oldamin for Injection" launched.

1993

Grelan Research Center (Research Laboratory) constructed in Hamura.

1996

Head Office functions transferred to Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku.

"Bestron for ear and nose" launched.

Production facilities consolidated at Nishi-Tokyo Factory.
Integrated production system from formulation to packaging rebuilt.

Japanese corporation "KI Pharma" established (joint venture with BioNumerik (US)).
