Call for Research Proposals

| Eligibility | Researchers affiliated with universities or public research institutions in Japan who can conduct the proposed research in Japan. |
| Research Fields and Themes | Drug discovery seeds and related technologies addressing Disease Focus including highly novel disease targets or compounds acting on such targets, with the potential to lead to innovative pharmaceuticals. |
| Research Period | In principle, 1 year |
| Research Funding | Up to 5 million yen (excluding tax, including indirect costs). The final amount will be determined through discussions for each selected project. |
| Application Method | Please submit your entry via the application form on this page. （＊Please note that the application documents for Step1 will be provided via email only to those whose initial submissions are considered to align with our interests.） |
| Selection Process |
Step 1: Initial Selection Proposals will be reviewed to determine whether they align with our research priorities. For proposals that are considered a good fit, an application form for Step 1 will be provided. Submitted materials will then be reviewed by our selection committee to determine which proposals will proceed to the next step. Step 2: Final Selection (Interview) Following execution of a Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA), an interview including a presentation and Q&A session will be conducted with the proposer. Based on this, the selection committee will make the final decision on the research themes to be selected. |
| Upon Selection | A joint research agreement will be concluded with the researcher’s affiliated institution. Relevant team members, including the applicant and additional personnel deemed necessary, will collaboratively carry out the research. |
